Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026
SkipHi (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you access and use our mobile application and related services (the “Service”). This Cookie Policy explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your choices regarding their use. This policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, which provides additional detail on how we collect and use your personal information.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your device when you visit a website or use an application. They are widely used to make services work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to the operators of the service. While traditional browser cookies are primarily associated with web browsing, mobile applications use similar technologies to achieve the same purposes.
In the context of our mobile application, “cookies and similar technologies” refers broadly to any technology that stores or accesses information on your device, including local storage mechanisms, authentication tokens, device identifiers, software development kits (SDKs) that collect data, and persistent identifiers used for analytics and functionality purposes.
2. Technologies We Use
2.1 Authentication Tokens and Session Data
When you sign in to SkipHi, we generate and store authentication tokens on your device. These tokens identify you to our servers and allow you to remain signed in between sessions without re-entering your credentials. Authentication tokens are essential to the operation of the Service and cannot be disabled without losing access to your account. Session data may also include temporary information about your current activity within the app.
2.2 Local Storage
We use encrypted local storage on your device to store certain data that improves performance and enables offline functionality. This includes your profile information and preferences, onboarding progress and completion status, notification settings and preferences, usage quotas and feature access counters, cached content to reduce loading times and network usage, and tutorial and interface customization settings. This locally stored data is encrypted to protect it from unauthorized access. It remains on your device and is removed when you uninstall the application or clear the app's data through your device settings.
2.3 Device Identifiers
We may access or generate unique identifiers associated with your device for purposes including fraud prevention, device integrity verification, and analytics. These identifiers help us distinguish between devices, detect anomalous behavior, and maintain the security of the platform. Device identifiers may persist across sessions and app reinstalls depending on the type of identifier and your device settings.
3. Purpose of These Technologies
3.1 Essential Operations
Certain technologies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. These include authentication tokens that keep you signed in, security tokens used for device integrity verification, session management data that maintains your state as you navigate the app, and data required to process your subscription and payment status. Without these technologies, we would be unable to provide the Service. They are activated automatically when you use the app and cannot be individually disabled.
3.2 Functionality and Preferences
We use local storage and similar technologies to remember your settings, preferences, and choices so that you don't have to re-enter them each time you open the app. This includes your notification preferences, display settings, discovery filters, and the progress of multi-step processes such as onboarding and profile setup. These technologies enhance your user experience by providing a personalized and consistent interface.
3.3 Analytics and Performance
We use analytics technologies to collect anonymized or aggregated data about how users interact with the Service. This information helps us understand usage patterns, identify popular features, diagnose technical issues, measure the effectiveness of changes we make, and improve overall performance and reliability. Analytics data typically includes information about which screens you visit, how long you spend on various features, the actions you take (such as sending messages or browsing profiles), and technical performance metrics.
We strive to minimize the personal data collected through analytics by using anonymized identifiers and aggregated data wherever possible. However, some analytics technologies may link usage data to your account for the purpose of providing personalized recommendations and improving features that are specific to your usage patterns.
3.4 Error Monitoring and Diagnostics
We use error monitoring technologies to detect, diagnose, and resolve technical issues and crashes. When an error occurs, these technologies may collect information about the error, including the state of the application at the time of the error, the device model and operating system version, and anonymized identifiers. This data is used exclusively for debugging and improving the stability of the Service and is not used for marketing or advertising purposes.
3.5 Payment and Subscription Management
Third-party payment and subscription management services integrated into the app may use their own data storage and tracking technologies to manage your subscription status, process transactions, and verify entitlements. These services operate according to their own privacy and data practices, and we encourage you to review their respective policies.
4. Third-Party Technologies
Our Service integrates third-party SDKs and services that may use their own cookies, identifiers, and data collection mechanisms. These third parties include providers of authentication services, cloud infrastructure and data storage, analytics and performance monitoring, error tracking and diagnostics, payment processing and subscription management, AI and machine learning services, and social media integration services.
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy and data practices. While we carefully select our partners and require them to handle your data responsibly, we do not control the specific technologies they use or the data they collect. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of the third-party services integrated into our app.
5. Your Choices and Controls
You have several options for managing the technologies described in this policy:
Device Settings:Your mobile device provides controls that may allow you to limit tracking, reset advertising identifiers, or restrict the data that apps can access. These settings vary by device and operating system. We recommend reviewing your device's privacy settings to understand the controls available to you.
In-App Settings: The Service provides settings that allow you to manage certain preferences, including notification settings and data sharing options. You can access these through the settings menu within the app.
Opt-Out of Analytics: You may be able to opt out of certain analytics data collection through your device settings or by contacting us directly. Please note that opting out of analytics may not affect the collection of data that is strictly necessary for the Service to function.
Uninstalling the App: You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the SkipHi application from your device. This will remove locally stored data, although data previously transmitted to our servers will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and data retention practices.
Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by using the account deletion feature in the app settings or by contacting us directly. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to any legal or regulatory retention requirements.
6. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, our practices, or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice through the app. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
