Safety
Your safety is our priority. Here's how we protect you and how you can protect yourself.
How We Keep You Safe
Profile Verification
Every user on the platform goes through an identity verification process before they can connect with others. This helps ensure that the person you're talking to is who they say they are. We have zero tolerance for fake profiles — accounts that fail verification are removed immediately.
Content Moderation
Our moderation systems work around the clock to detect and remove inappropriate content, harassment, and spam. We combine automated detection with human review to maintain a respectful environment for everyone.
Blocking and Reporting
You can block or report any user at any time. When you block someone, they can no longer see your profile or contact you. Reports are reviewed promptly by our team, and appropriate action is taken against accounts that violate our guidelines.
Data Protection
Your personal information is encrypted and stored securely. We never share your data with other users without your consent. Your exact location is never revealed — only approximate distances are shown.
Tips for Staying Safe
Protect Your Personal Information
Be cautious about sharing personal details like your home address, workplace, or financial information with someone you haven't met in person. Take your time getting to know someone before sharing sensitive details.
Keep Conversations on the Platform
We recommend keeping your conversations within the app, especially early on. Our in-app messaging has safety features that aren't available on other platforms. If someone pressures you to move off the app quickly, consider that a warning sign.
Meet in Public Places
When you decide to meet someone in person, always choose a public location for your first few dates. Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting. Arrange your own transportation so you can leave whenever you need to.
Trust Your Instincts
If something feels off, trust your gut. You are never obligated to continue a conversation or meet someone in person. If a user makes you uncomfortable, block and report them — our team will investigate.
Recognizing Red Flags
Be aware of these warning signs when connecting with someone online:
- Asking for money or financial assistance
- Refusing to video call or meet in person after extended conversation
- Pressuring you to share personal information quickly
- Inconsistencies in their story or profile details
- Attempting to isolate you from friends or family
- Sending unsolicited explicit content

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. The following resources are also available:
- Emergency Services: Call 911 (US) or your local emergency number
- National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233
- Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741
